A Few of Euler’s New Favorite Things!

This post was sponsored by Babbleboxx, but as always all opinions are 100% my own (well, and Euler’s). Thank you for supporting the brands that support Olivia Shea Style!

First thing’s first, let’s talk about Euler’s all time favorite topic: TREATS. I have literally never met a single dog who is as obsessed with food as Euler is, so when it comes to treats, he means business. Since Jerry and I are both pretty big pushovers, it is important to us that we buy healthy dog treats, because let’s be real, he tends to get a lot of them… If you saw my stories yesterday (saved to the Euler highlight on my IG profile in case you missed it) it is VERY clear that Euler loves the treats that Fruitables sent him to try out. He literally goes nuts for them, and honestly they smell delicious, so I can see why. But I thought I’d share why WE love them, too! The Biggies Almond Butter & Coconut are made with real almond butter and coconut, so we feel good about letting Euler have them because we know they’re natural dog treats, and aren’t packed with a ton of artificial ingredients. The Fruitables PB n’ Joy peanut butter banana treats are soft and chewy, which we love because it makes them easy to break up into smaller pieces so they go further. We usually break each treat up into 4-6 pieces to give him, so he feels like he’s getting a ton of treats when really he’s just getting one. We also love that just like the Biggies treats, they’re all natural and made with real peanut butter and bananas.

Next up, Multipet sent Euler a couple of their dog toys to test out. He received both the Swingin’ Slevins (pictured above) which he LOVES to bring us to play tug with. It’s 27 inches long, soft enough for your pup to cuddle with, and has a total of 5 squeakers, which he’s been having fun with, too.

They also sent us their Mane Event giraffe, pictured below. What’s super fun about this toy is that it has a mane made of rope, which Euler has been loving for gripping onto. The rope also makes the toy a little bit heavier, which for us is perfect because it makes it easier to throw further when he wants to play fetch with it, and it also makes it more fun for him to shake around.

Both of these dog toys have been perfect for Euler because they encourage movement which helps tire him out faster, and he loves toys that he can toss, shake around, and play with more interactively with us (like with tug and fetch).

These specific toys can be found at specialty pet stores, but you can check out https://multipet.com/ for more information about all of Multipet’s products and toys!

Warning: always supervise your pet when playing with toys, and inspect the toys periodically for damage. Do not permit your pet to continue playing with a broken or damaged toy. For pet use only.

As the absolutely obsessive helicopter dog mom that you all know that I am, Euler’s health and wellbeing is one of my biggest priorities, so it is important to me to use the best possible products for him. Vet’s Best products combine veterinary science with natural, plant based ingredients making them both effective and safe.

Vet’s Best sent us two of their wellness products: Their ear relief wash and dry dog ear cleaner kit, and their Advanced Hip & Joint Supplements.

The Vet’s Best ear relief wash and dry dog ear cleaner kit, which cleans and soothes raw, itchy and smelly ears keeping them fresh and dry between baths, and provides quick relief from rawness, greasiness and irritation. Both the wash formula and the dry formula contain gentle and soothing natural ingredients like chamomile, tea tree oil, aloe vera and clove oil.

The Advanced Hip & Joint Supplements are a chewable tablet that is optimized for absorption and digestion and has been given the National Animal Supplement Council Seal of Approval. These tablets help to maintain normal, healthy cartilage, connective tissue and joint mobility. They also include healthy antionxidants that remove damaging free radicals.

As a good rule of thumb, I always make sure to check with Euler’s vet before introducing any new wellness products into his routine in order to make sure they’ll work well for him and his specific needs.

The last time Euler went to the vet, one thing that they did bring up was oral hygiene. This is honestly something we’ve always kind of struggled to keep up with because Euler does NOT like having his teeth brushed, so I was really excited to see that Oratene would be one of the sponsors featured in this post. They sent us three different dog dental care products to try, and luckily for us, they all utilize a patented enzyme system to effortlessly care for Euler’s dental health, which means not one of the three products requires a toothbrush going anywhere near Euler’s mouth. Another great thing about Oratene‘s products is that they are safe for both dogs and cats, so they’re perfect for multi-pet households.

The first product received (and definitely easiest to use) is a drinking water additive. This one is super easy to use, because you just shake it up well and stir two pumps into 4 cups of fresh water daily. The second product is their toothpaste gel, which luckily for us is brushless. I just put it on my finger and try to be quick, and he usually doesn’t mind. You apply a 1/2 inch strip to your pup’s gums, and their tongue and saliva will help distribute it throughout their mouth. Lastly, they sent their breath freshening spray, which is a fine, focused mist. Shake well and spray 3 or more pumps onto their teeth and gums and right inside their cheeks and you’re good to go!

And good news, February is actually Pet Dental Awareness Month, so Oratene is offering a special 10% discount at www.zymox.com. Just use the code Oratenepet at checkout anytime between now and March 7th.

Finally, something fun for the humans! Running Press was kind enough to include their book, Doggos Doing Things: The Hilarious World of Puppos, Borkers, and Other Good Bois and Jerry and I have been having so much fun reading through it! The book is brought to you by the creators of the popular instagram account, @doggosdoingthings and features more than 150 adorable pictures of pups of all shapes and sizes with hilarious captions. It’s a great conversation starter coffee table book, and would make the perfect gift book for your favorite dog mom (or dad).

Last, but DEFINITELY not least is iDig Stay from iFetch. This toy has quickly become both mine and Euler’s favorite! I love this toy because it’s mentally stimulating for him and actually makes him work and think, which is so important for such a smart and active dog breed, especially when you live in an apartment.

Basically how it works is there are three layers of fabric, and all three layers have pockets. You can hide the treats right underneath the layers to make it a little easier (I definitely recommend doing this the first couple of times, there is a learning curve at first and Euler got frustrated when he could smell the treats but couldn’t find them right away) or you can hide them inside of the pockets to make it a little more challenging (this is what we do now and it occupies him for a WHILE!). Euler literally asks to play with this multiple times daily, and every now and then will just randomly check on it to see if any treats have shown up inside while he wasn’t looking. He has so much fun digging through the layers and searching the pockets to find his treats, and it’s honestly so cute to watch. It also provides a positive outlet for dogs (like Euler) who have a tendency to dig when they get bored/frustrated.

I’ll share some videos of Euler when he first got it and was learning how to use it (like I said, there is a bit of a learning curve so be sure you’re there to supervise the first couple times to make sure your pup doesn’t get frustrated and start digging outside of the toy) and some videos of him playing with it now that he knows what he’s doing on my stories today, but here are some other videos to check out (because it is seriously so freaking cute to watch!)

Euler seriously has so much fun with this toy and it distracts him when Jerry is on video calls and I need to keep him quiet, which is a nice added benefit for both of us! If you want to try it out, you can use the code BABBLEFEB to get 15% off an iDig digging toy (either the iDig Stay or the iDig Go) at goifetch.com.

XOXO,

Euler + Olivia
