Back to Fall Shopping with Kohl's!
This post is sponsored by Kohl’s. I was paid for this post and received the included clothes as compensation.
Can you believe it’s already August? I feel like I blinked and Summer was suddenly almost over! When I was younger, I used to get so excited for August because that always meant back to school shopping! I wasn’t the biggest fan of the whole “actually going back to school” thing, but the shopping part was always one of my favorite times of the year! Now that I’m old and graduated, I’m obviously not actually going back to school this year, but that’s definitely not going to stop me from using it as an excuse to shop (but let’s be real, do I need an excuse?). These days, I see the “back to school” season as the perfect time to stock up on Fall essentials and transitional pieces that will get you through the crazy late Summer-early Fall months where the weather just honestly has no clue what it’s doing. So basically, ALL the comfy layering pieces! I recently stopped by Kohl’s to get a jump on my back to school (I can pretend!) shopping, and you guys… They have SO MUCH cute stuff in their Juniors section right now! And their prices were insane. I literally bought seven things for under $130. ANDDD I had Kohl’s cash from the last time I shopped, which made it even cheaper. I put together three outfits that I think you guys will LOVE for early Fall, and made a point of using pieces that I can wear now and later when it cools down, too!
I love this first outfit, because if I had to choose a single favorite type of clothing it would be cute, comfy cardigans! I love the way they can make any outfit look casual but put together! This one is under $30, and comes in a ton of different colors! I love that the knit is super loose, so it’s the perfect transitional cardigan because it’s not way too hot to wear in warmer weather! I also love the neckline on this tee! I think a criss cross neckline is so fun because it can take any ordinary tee up a notch! I plan on switching out these white shorts for either black or white jeans once it starts to get a bit colder, but these shorts are so perfect for the weather right now! I have a couple of pairs of white shorts, but these ones are my favorite because I love the buttons in the front and the lace pockets that peek out!
SO Cropped Joggers (℅)
If you follow my insta stories, you know I work from home and basically LIVE in comfy clothes, but to keep my sanity, they still have to be cute and go well together! I don’t know about you, but even when I’m just lounging around at home, I am so much happier when my outfit is cute! Also, living in apartments (or dorms, for that matter), you never know when you’ll have an impromptu 2 am fire drill, so cute comfy clothes are a MUST! Besides, during the colder months one of my absolute favorite things to do is curl up in comfy clothes with hot chocolate or coffee and a good book! I found these joggers and have honestly probably been wearing them way too much if I’m being real with myself, but they are just SO comfy that I never want to take them off! This tee is also the softest thing EVER! It comes in a bunch of colors, and I love that you can dress it up or down depending on the look you’re going for! Once it gets a bit colder, I plan on wearing it with these black jeans, half tucked with a chambray shirt tied around my waist and cute tan booties!
Last but not least, I have been really loving the camo trend (on others) this year, but this is the first time I actually gave it a try myself! This top was probably one of my favorite things from Kohl’s because I feel like it will go with literally anything! It’s perfect with white shorts now, but will go so well with black jeans like these and a cute denim jacket once it starts to cool down, too!
The best part about all of these pieces is that they’re all extremely affordable! Something I think that a lot of people don’t realize is that adults can 100% still shop in the Juniors section! Not only is everything just as cute (I got so many compliments on these outfits, and people were SHOCKED when I told them where everything was from!), I feel like sometimes the clothes are a bit more modest, too! I’m not saying that I’m a super modest dresser, but I hate having to constantly pull my top up, so I’m all for a top that comes up a bit higher! And better yet, shopping in the Juniors section is a great way to save money! I’m pretty sure the most expensive piece featured in this post was the cardigan, which is still under $30! And better yet, right now you can get $10 off $50 on all Back To School categories from 8/3 to 8/19 with the code BTS10!
Have you started your back to school (or back to Fall, if you’re like me and just using “back to school” as an excuse to shop!) shopping, yet? What are your favorite Fall trends?
