Trends I'm Loving: Hair Accessories, Biker Shorts & Polka Dots
So last week I talked a little bit on my stories about trends! I shared a couple of things I’m loving and a couple of things I just cannot get behind, and I asked you guys which trends you were loving and hating! A lot of you guys agreed with me that hair accessories are one of the best trends happening right now, and the whole teeny sunglasses thing is just meh. Looks great on some people. I could never ever pull it off. One of the trends that I was super lukewarm on was bike shorts, and after buying my first pair I can honestly say I am 100% on board. I feel like you definitely have to find the right ones and wear them right, but I honestly think that they are SO fun! They’re basically like the leggings of summer and I am HERE. FOR. IT. That being said, I can never justify dropping legit money on trendy pieces since who knows how long the trends will last, so I’ve rounded up some super affordable pieces so that you can experiment with some of the most popular trends this summer on the cheap! (side note, when I was researching different trends for this post, I found people trying to claim that bucket hats were making a comeback? That’s gonna be a HARD pass for me…)
Hair Accessories
Of all of the trends popping up this year, I think this one is my favorite so far! I love that they’re such an easy and cheap way to dress up an outfit or accessorize day 2 (or 3 or 4) hair! Bike Shorts
Like I said, I was hesitant at first but after giving it a try I am all in on this bike shorts trend! Obviously, there’s a time and place for it, but for running errands with a cute graphic tee and sandals, or even going out with the right top (like the set I’m wearing above) I think that this is such a fun (and comfy) trend! And y’all know I am ALL for anything comfy!
Polka Dots
From skirts to swimsuits, I’ve been seeing a ton of polka dots this spring and I am LOVING it! Here are some of my favorite affordable polka dot pieces I’ve found!
There are so many more that I’ve been loving, but this is getting a bit long so I think I’ll save those for next week! Are there any trends you want me to round up for the next post? I’m thinking I’ll definitely be rounding up my favorite two piece sets, but I’ve seen so many I’ve loved lately that I almost think that will need to be its own separate post!
