New York City Outfit Diary

I’ve got a few NYC blog posts coming your way, but I figured I’d start with my outfit diary to make sure you had a chance to shop everything so before it sells out! Be sure to check back tomorrow for a full run-down of what we did and where we went!

Day 1: Comfy airport style

This set from Nasty Gal is super comfortable, and can be worn together or separately! Fair warning though, if you have a longer torso, the top may be a bit too short for you! I do have a longer torso, so I wore the pants pretty high waisted and tied a jacket around my waist in order to show a bit less skin! You’ll see these sneakers a couple of times throughout this post! If you’re in between sizes size up in them because they run a bit small!

Day 2: Exploring the neighborhood

This dress is honestly my new favorite! I wore it a few times while I was there, because it’s so comfortable and super easy to just throw on and go! It was especially great for how hot it was since even though it’s long sleeved, it’s super lightweight!

Day 3: Smorgasburg

This dress is one of my favorites, and I’ve actually had it since last year! It would be perfect for a bride to be for any kind of pre wedding event, and the back is SO cute! This was the hottest day we had while we were there, and we spent most of it outside so this dress was perfect!

Day 4: Exploring Murray Hill

This dress was so comfy and fun! I recommend sizing down, because it definitely runs a bit large. I didn’t listen to the reviews and got my usual size and I definitely wish I had gone with a small instead! This picture was taken literally seconds before a crazy torrential downpour started! lol

Day 5: My favorite outfit of the trip

This outfit is definitely my favorite I wore all trip, and I can’t wait to wear it again! This dress is super lightweight, so it’s perfect for late summer and early fall, and these shoes look good with SO much! I chose to wear oversized sunglasses because the AC in our room was drying out my skin like crazy, so I took a no-makeup day hoping that it would help!

Day 6: Meeting up with a friend for dinner

You guys have seen this dress before in this IG post, but I had to bring it to NYC with me because it’s one of my favorites! I just love all of the details, it’s so much fun! I wore it when Jerry and I went to meet up with one of his best friends for dinner at a Korean Barbecue place!

Day 7: Rooftop Party

This is my favorite picture from the entire trip! I actually got a few questions about where this was taken when I posted it on Instagram, and it was actually taken at Jerry’s friend’s office! We were there for a party that he was DJing, and it was definitely a highlight of our trip. I mean, THAT VIEW! So pretty! You may remember this outfit from this Instagram post, but I had to pull it back out again because it’s such a good, comfy going out outfit!

Day 8: Airport outfit #2

Our flight out of Newark boarded at 5:50am, so we left Jerry’s family’s house at 4:30. That being said, comfort was KEY for this outfit! This is a lounge set that I’ve been obsessing over lately, and it comes in a ton of colors! It’s super affordable, and sooo comfy! The denim jacket is actually Jerry’s, he’s had it since before we were dating (and we’ve been together for 6.5 years so this thing is ancient! lol). It wasn’t originally part of the outfit, but it didn’t fit in his suitcase and he was already wearing a jacket, so I tied it around my waist and tbh I think it kind of made the look! haha

That’s it for my outfits, but I have more NYC content coming your way soon!

XOXO,

Olivia
