HUGE Life Update
Sooo… I have been hinting at a huge life update for a while now, and I was going to wait to tell you guys until this weekend, BUT, I’m impatient so I’ve decided to make this a two part announcement, letting you in on the first part of the HUGE secret I’ve been keeping today, and spilling the beans on the rest this coming Saturday!
That being said, are you ready to know the huge secret that I’ve been keeping from you guys for months now? The one that’s going to change pretty much everything?

WE’RE MOVING!
As I’m sitting here writing this post, the date is September 25, well before I am actually able to hit publish but guys, I am just so dang excited about this next chapter of our lives and keeping it a secret from you all has been killing me! By the time this post goes live there will be way fewer question marks, because even though we will be moving the first week of November (so like, in two weeks, by the time you’re reading this) there is so much that is still completely unknown.
Here’s what we do know:
Jerry has accepted a new position with an amazing company, and he is so excited to take the next step in his career.
The specific neighborhood we want to live in.
Apartments are freaking EXPENSIVE.
We move the first week of November.
Here’s what we don’t know:
When I’ll officially be able to hit publish on this post! As of now, only our friends and family know, and we still have to get a few things taken care of before we can officially announce our move. (update: we told everyone we needed to tell before the wedding, so I finally get to tell you guys TODAY!)
Where the heck we’re going to live? We thought we had found the perfect apartment, got approved and were about to sign the lease when they dropped a bomb on us and told us that we would have to start paying way earlier than they had originally said, meaning we would have to pay rent at two apartments at once, which just wasn’t really a possibility. (update: WE GOT THE APARTMENT! We were able to negotiate a bit and make it work, and I can’t wait to show you guys our absolute dream apartment!)
Whether it’s going to cost more to move our furniture, or sell everything we can and buy new furniture once we get there… We don’t have a TON of furniture that we’re attached to, and we try to stick to more affordable pieces anyways, so it may actually be cheaper (and more fun) to sell it all and start over. I guess we’ll see! (update: his company is moving our furniture, so we’ll be moving what we have instead of starting from scratch, thankfully! As fun as that would have been, I like our furniture and it would have been kind of a pain. We may still replace some things, but we won’t have to start all over, luckily.)
We’ll be headed there this weekend to explore the area and so that I can check out our apartment in person for the first time ever! I’ll finally announce WHERE we are moving to and even give a little apartment tour on stories while we’re there!
Any guesses where we’re moving to?
I’ll be announcing where we’re headed on IG this weekend, and then spilling all the details about the move and our apartment hunt on the blog this coming Monday!
