Spring Pick Me Up's with Babbleboxx!

This post is sponsored by Babbleboxx, but as always, all opinions are 100% my own!

Olivia Shea Style, Babbleboxx, Spring Pick Me Up

This spring has obviously been a little bit different than I think any of us expected, and while the situation is not ideal, I’ve been doing everything I can to make the best of it and appreciate the little things, like time spent outside on my balcony, or social distancing walks with Euler! So when Babbleboxx reached out and asked if they could send me a “Spring Pick Me Up” box full of fun spring products to test out and share with you guys, I got excited about the chance to introduce you guys to some fun new products that could hopefully be a “Pick Me Up” for you, too!

Olivia Shea Style, Matcha Mascara, Erins Faces

The first product I tested out was this Erin’s Faces Matcha Mascara! You may remember me talking about this mascara on my insta stories the other day, because I am seriously SO impressed. If I’m being honest, I tend to stay away from beauty products that advertise themselves as “natural” or “organic” because when I’ve tried them in the past I just didn’t feel like they worked as well as some of the less clean options. So I’m not going to lie, I was a little nervous to try it. But you guys. I am BLOWN AWAY. I am not just saying this, this is seriously one of the best mascaras that I have ever used, and I plan on making it my permanent mascara and rebuying once the first tube runs out. It’s THAT good. Typically, I use a lash primer and top it with a mascara, but when I went to test this out the first time I skipped the primer because I wanted to see how well the mascara worked alone and… I haven’t used the primer since. My lashes with the mascara alone looked better than they did with my old mascara/primer combo that I had been using for years. The mascara is made with Encha Organic Matcha, which studies have shown can actually help strengthen hair, and Beta Carotene, which encourages hair growth. So not only is it incredibly lengthening (while still looking natural and not clumpy at all!) it’s actually GOOD for your lashes, too! I think what makes it so lengthening is that it also contains plant based fibers, which attach themselves to your lashes and basically extend your lash a bit. In my experience, I haven’t really had any issues with the fibers flaking off, which I know I’ve experienced previously with fiber mascaras when they first started to come out. I highly recommend this mascara, and if you want to try it out for yourself you can get 10% off from now until the end of May with the code SPRINGTIME10.

Olivia Shea Style, Tinted Lip Balm, Erin's Faces

Also from Erin’s Faces was this Fair Trade Tinted Lip Balm. I was a little less hesitant to try this, because after trying the mascara I was a total convert. I’ve been loving this lip balm, because it’s buildable, so you can do a light coat for no-makeup days just to give yourself a little bit of color, or you can do a bit heavier of a coat on days where you go full glam, and it actually ends up looking just as dark as a normal lipstick. I got the shade Flushed, and it is seriously the perfect everyday color! It’s made with organic castor seed oil and organic beeswax, so it’s super nourishing on chapped lips, too! Which is great for me because my lips always get so dry when the temperatures start to change. It also contains fair trade cocoa seed butter, so it goes on smoothly and doesn’t feel waxy, and it smells good, too! Again, you can get 10% off from Erin’s Faces with the code SPRINGTIME10.

Olivia Shea Style, OPI, Nailpolish

OPI Nail Lacquer has always been my favorite brand of nail polish, so I knew from the start I’d love the product, because I’ve been using it for years! I got the shade “Hello Pretty” from their Hello Kitty line, and it’s such a fun pop of color for summer. I painted my nails with it for this picture 4 days ago, and I still don’t have a single chip, even with all of the crazy hand washing I’ve been doing. OPI’s formula is thicker and more durable than most nail polishes out there, so it requires less coats (which for me means I’m less likely to mess it up before it’s fully dry) and tends to last a lot longer for me! Their formula is fast drying, and available in more than 200 colors (all of which have the best names!).

Olivia Shea Style, REEF, Sandals

Growing up, one of my best friends ALWAYS wore REEF sandals in the summer, and I remember wanting a pair so badly because they had bottle openers on the bottom and she’d use them to open our root beers, which I thought was SO cool! These ones don’t have bottle openers, but let’s be real, they are WAY cuter than the black athletic looking flip flops that she had, and they are JUST as comfortable! They sent me both the Escape Mule TX’s (which I’m wearing in the picture above) and the Cushion Sol’s (which I’m holding). Both pairs are super comfortable, supportive and durable— and not to mention, super cute! I’ve actually been wearing them around my apartment for the past couple of days to get a feel for them, and the bouncy cushioned footbed actually makes them way more comfortable to walk around in than it is to walk around barefoot on my hardwood floors. I can’t wait to explore the city in them this summer once things start to open up a bit because with all the walking I do, comfort is a MUST!

Olivia Shea Style, Zenni Optical, Blue Light Glasses

Okay, I’m not gonna lie, I probably would not have chosen this style for myself. TBH, I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s a good look for me (they look really cute on Euler though) but I just checked their website and they have so many cute options for both blue light glasses, prescription glasses and sunglasses! I especially like these ones! Jerry actually just broke his glasses the other day so he’s in need of a new pair, and I think I’m going to have him look there because their prices are AMAZING! Zenni’s goal is to give everybody access to stylish and affordable eyewear, and they actually have one of the largest online selections, with options starting as low as $6.95. What I think is really cool about Zenni glasses is that you can add Zenni Blokz Blue Light lenses to almost any pair, so they’re perfect if you’re like me and tend to spend a lot of time on your phone or computer. I’ve been wearing them while I work on blog posts (literally wearing them right now!) and I actually have noticed a difference in how my eyes feel at the end of the day! When we order Jerry’s, I’m definitely going to have him add the blue light glasses coating, because he works long hours and is staring at the computer non-stop.

Olivia Shea Style, CBD, Hand Sanitizer

Okay, so up until this last week I didn’t realize that CBD hand sanitizer was a thing, but now that I’ve started using it, I am a total convert. Basically, the Nano CBD in this hand sanitizer helps to nourish your skin, while the lemon essential oil helps to eliminate germs. Since I’ve switched over to this, from my other sanitizer, I’ve noticed that my hands haven’t been struggling with dryness as much as they had been before. I like to keep this in my bag so that I always have it on me when I leave the apartment to go on grocery runs or walk Euler.

Olivia Shea Style, CBD, Gummies

I’ve been loving these Infinite CBD Asteroid Gummies and Sour Asteroid Gummies for before bed! For the past few days, I’ve been taking them about 20 or so minutes before brushing my teeth, and they help me relax a bit and wind down for the night. I started with one, but I’ve noticed just one doesn’t really affect me much, so I typically take two at a time. I love that they’re fun star shapes, and they taste SO good! You can get 20% off on both the gummies and the hand sanitizer when you shop through this link!

Olivia Shea Style, Swell, Insulated Wine Glass

You guys KNOW I love my wine, so I was super excited to see this cute wine tumbler from Swig Life included in the box. It has already gotten PLENTY of use. It’s triple insulated and vacuum sealed, so it keeps drinks cold for up to 9 hours and hot for up to 3, but honestly, for me they never last that long… lol My favorite thing about it though is that it’s dishwasher safe! I hate doing dishes, so this is big for me and I feel like most insulated products aren’t for some reason!

They also included a super cute can cooler (pictured above in the top pic!) that I know is going to get a ton of use because it’s the perfect size for skinny cans like White Claws! The can cooler keeps cans cold for up to 12 hours, so it’s perfect for the pool or beach! It is dish washer safe, but since you don’t actually pour liquid into it, you probably rarely need to wash it! You can get 10% off Swig Life cups and products by shopping through this link! No code needed, the discount will be automatically applied at checkout!

Last but definitely not least in the box was this Vichy LiftActiv Peptide-C Anti Aging Ampoule Serum! This, like the mascara is another product that took me by surprise! I knew I liked and trusted Vichy, because I’ve already been using their LiftActiv Peptide-C sunscreen as my daily moisturizer in the morning for weeks now, so I was excited to try this product but I wasn’t expecting to see such a difference after a single use. I have a line between my eyebrows that I’m actually super self conscious about. After the very first use, my skin felt firmer and more hydrated, and the line was noticeably less visible. I know it takes a few weeks of trying any skincare product to see actual change, but I can honestly say that I am very impressed by the short term effects of this product, and I’m excited to continue using it and keep you guys updated on it!

If you try out any of these products, definitely let me know! I always love hearing when you find a new favorite based on one of my recommendations, and I can very honestly say that I truly do love and highly recommend all of the products and brands mentioned in this post!

XOXO,

Olivia
